How are you feeling today? Do you love what you’re doing? Do you enjoy every moment? Are you looking forward to what’s coming up next? Are you living your best life? Do you ever ask yourself — what is it that you really want? Yes, you might want to earn money, be successful and settle down. All of us want that. But trust me, that is not what your heart wants to do right now, at this very moment. What you want is to go to Goa with friends, make that Instagram reel jumping in the trampoline park or cliff jumping on the Avicii song (the nights). You want to take a break and not do anything at all. That is what you really want.

I have seen people devoting their lives to achieve what they have dreamt of. And it’s good to have your dreams planned out and work accordingly. But in the quest of achieving their dreams, people often forget to enjoy what they are doing. They forget to live the days. When someone lives a monotonous life, without taking breaks, they somehow lose the enthusiasm to live. You forget to smile and to laugh your heart out. And that is not what life is all about. Sometimes you just want to do things out of the box, out of the routine.

You see, life is a lot more exciting when we are willing to be just a bit daring and put ourselves out there. If we approach life as an adventure and treat each day as a gift, we will feel prosperous and fulfilled. And eventually life will become intriguing and something we look forward to each and every day. Even someone working a typical 9–5 job can find life to be incredibly fun and fascinating if they simply approach it as an adventure with the main mission being to live. Live is meant to be experienced. Life is a privilege, but to live life to the fullest is a choice. A choice that is in your hands. So honor your life by living to the fullest. What we all should do is live and enjoy each and every moment of our life. And that is my dear friend we call zest for living.

We don’t know what future holds for us. We don’t know what may happen the very next moment. Maybe the next breath you take is the very last breath you will ever take. We can never know these things. Life is unpredictable. Every day brings with it a new surprise.

I remember when I used to study day and night in my class 12th, my parents used to forcefully take me out for dinners or just to have an ice cream. I remember even going on vacations couple of times during those stressful years. Life is always going on, and there is no defined time to have fun. Your motto in life should be ‘It’s now or never’, because time never waits for anyone. This passing second will never return back. It’s up to you to make this time memorable. After all you don’t want any regrets on your death bed. It’s better to regret things which you didn’t do rather than regretting things which you did.

You have been given this life to live not just to exist. So, stop complaining, comparing, worrying, wishing, wanting, overthinking and waiting. Be thankful for what you already have, focus on the blessings that surround you. Live your life like there is no tomorrow. Life is very fragile and all it takes a single moment to change everything. People are going to talk about you no matter what you do. So, you might as well do whatever brings you joy.

Enjoy the little moments in life. Do the pillow fights with your siblings. Fight for the bigger portion. Take a walk with loud music. Dance like crazy. Work on your creative side. Make music, make art, make YouTube videos. Be an influencer, do everything your heart wants to do. Make your happiness a priority. Ten years from now, make sure you will be able to say that you chose your life and didn’t settle for it.

Everything will make sense someday. Laugh at your mistakes, break the rules, smile through the tears, never regret anything that made your heart smile and keep reminding yourself that whatever happens, happens for a reason.
