We’ve all had bad days. But what do you do if all your days are bad? What do you do if you feel like your life has become monotonous, dull and boring? What do you do when you lose all interest in living and worry about how you’re going to get through the week? What do you do when you stop thinking about “living” and only care about “surviving another day”?

It’s okay to feel bad when circumstances are unfavorable. It’s normal that you feel stressed, worried, and unhappy. We haven’t been able to meet our friends and family, and a lot of them might have gotten sick. There’s also the added stress from your work or your classes. Last year has taken a toll on all of us.

But who likes being unhappy all the time? On the other hand, how do you stop feeling that way?

That’s where warmth comes in.

Remember that warm, comfortable, happy feeling you have when you do something you enjoy? That’s what you need! Warmth is a catalyst for cheerful optimistic thoughts.

How do I find warmth, you ask? Well, it’s simple! Take a break and reconnect with the people you love and things you like doing!

Give your parents a hug! Get your friends to do a group video call! Text your grandparents! Call up that one weird cousin who always cracks you up! (in some cases you might be the weird cousin).

Rewatch your favorite shows, reread your favorite books, watch funny pet videos and play with your own pet(if you have one). Try those recipes that you’ve always wanted to do! Take a nap, go for a walk, draw something, write something, listen to your favorite tunes and sing along!

Feeling better yet? No? Then do something else that makes you happy! And don’t feel guilty about not working! Don’t start thinking about all the work that you have when you take a break. Your mental wellness is important and you deserve to have some time for yourself!

Doing all this will remind you of happier, simpler times. You’ll start feeling calmer, more focused and centered. You’ll find yourself feeling cheerfully optimistic.

You’ll feel peaceful and sanguine.
