Abyss of life’s orchestra

Let’s cross the line today! Let’s talk about the forbidden. People would rather steer clear of it, but we are all mere mortals, fleeting whispers in the wind. Why? Why do people not talk about this? Why fear it? Why is it ominous? We can’t elude death anyways.

Death knocks on the door in different guises: stillbirth, accidents, diseases, disasters, homicides, or suicides. We can say all other guises are not scripted by us, but homicides? suicides? Especially suicides, which is ending your own life. It is easy for others to comment suicide is an emergency exit to all our troubles, but how do they know it? Whether it is escaping or a solitary answer, if yes- When there are countless exits, why is it the solitary answer? Why should it be this so-called “emergency exit”?

We, Homo sapiens, are social animals; life’s orchestra is fulfilled by the emotional symphony. What will happen when someone is bereft of positive emotions like happiness, peace, warmth, harmony, care, affection, and love? It becomes unaffordable. We are in a world where time is money; money is all. The more times we lose a ticket to positivity, the more we look for ways to earn it; the more we fail, the more expensive it is with the bonus of more negativity, and the more we yearn for it. We try all the prospects we can; even after all of these, what if? What if it’s an orchestra we never get to watch? For all the times we fail, expectations break, hopes disappear, disagreements rise, and denial of emotions becomes a stipend. In the end, all that’s left is feeling numb and being forced to feel negativity.

"I want to run away; I want to disappear; I can’t go on anymore; I don’t want to live, but I don’t want to die; I want to end this, myself, and be at peace." You can say these are the phases of self-harm, and each phase is a form of crying for help, coveting a shoulder to lean on, and breaking down to break free, and positivity is the golden ticket, that one ticket with eternal free access to life’s orchestra.

Life is simple yet too complex; it depends on the way we see it. Even if there’s a scarcity of positivity, remember that "We all live only once.” Alter your vision to see the light in the darkness and calmness in the storm. If you are hopeless and feel there’s no reason to go on further, live to see the clock strike 12 every night and hold on till dawn kisses you right. As the days unfold, maybe someday you will want to run for yourself again as your nothingness vanishes. Keep your ears, eyes, and heart wide open to listen, see, and feel everything around you. In the process of discovering yourself, collect things that could keep you going because change is constant. But if you give up on yourself, then you are missing out on the orchestra and yourself.
