“Keep trying

Keep trusting

Keep believing

Keep growing”

I know, I know it’s a bit late for that, but as 2021 approached, I find it a really inspiring ritual to think of all I want to accomplish in the year ahead. Amidst the pandemic and everything going on right now, this ritual reminds me that it’s important to keep hoping, to keep believing, and to keep the faith that things will get better.

Thinking of what I want to create in my life, what I want to call in and manifest, helps me to keep focusing on the good in my life and even where we are now and have some semblance of normalcy even during this time.

We may have many ways to organise the new year we are in but it’s fun to think about it, isn’t it? — that 2021 is a blank page and that it can have a bright future. I don’t really know how it’s going to go or where it’s going to lead me, but I can bet it’s going to be much brighter than where we’ve been and I’m excited for the day when I can take off my mask and smile and say hi to people again. I’m excited for returning to normalcy and I don’t think I’ll ever really look at it the same way again.

I’m thankful for the perspective 2020 has given me, how much it has made me thankful for all that I have and have had in the past, and I’m hoping for all of us that 2021 will be a much brighter year, filled with possibilities, hope, and recovery.

In the meantime though, I’ll keep dreaming, believing, and taking steps in that direction and try, as much as I can, to make the best of where I am even if it looks different than usual.

Instead of bashing the year that will go down as the worst ever (Because I do believe the appearance of silver lining in 2021) I offer these words of hope for this year;

May light always surround you; hope kindle and rebound you.

May your hurt turn to healing; your heart embrace feeling.

May wounds become wisdom; every kindness a prism.

May laughter infect you; your passion resurrect you.

May goodness inspire your deepest desire; through all that you reach, may your arm never tire.
